365 Pages

I've been waiting for the time to write up a long winded post about the 365 pages I did a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to outline the photos and give a little more detail . . .  HOWEVER . . .

I have not found the time. Nor have I made the time. I figured a post with the pages was better than no post at all so here they are:
I've taken my photos for May but have not designed the page yet. I'm hoping to do that sometime before the end of June!!!

I've got a couple more items on my Design Blog (or I will have in a few minutes!) if you'd  like to check it out.

365 Pages? Where did they go?

These are the latest trendy toy craze. They are called Zhu Zhu Pets. You push a button and let them go and the race all over the house making little chirpy noises. They’re quite smart. If they hit a wall, they turn themselves around and keep going. The Easter bunny left them for the girls.

Here is Isobel reading in the Sun Room after school. What more could a mom (and a voracious reader) ask for?

And here she is riding on Dave’s foot as he attempts to walk around the house. She hasn’t done this in a long time but both girls did it a lot as infants and toddlers. It’s nice to see the novelty hasn’t worn off!

This is a typical shot of Meredith these days. Love it!

This house is across the street from us. It has been under construction for 3 years by 2 different owners. It is finally ready and on the market but they want a whopping $1,850,000 for it. I think it’s going to be a while before someone actually moves in. It is nice to have all the construction vehicles and dust gone though.

Shadow doesn’t realize how big he is. He likes to sit in or on bags as often as he can. You’ve heard of Cat in the Hat? Well we have a Cat in a Bag.

This is a shot of Old City Hall in Toronto taken on Dave’s Blackberry. We had a day without children (thanks Nic and Mark) and did some wandering around the Eaton Centre and downtown Toronto. It was a lovely day.

And here is the page:

I'm still taking photos on an almost daily basis but haven't done a great job of posting them here or getting the pages done. I'm hoping to get caught up on the pages tomorrow and will post as soon as I can.

Have a great day and, as always, thanks for looking!!!

Spring Fling 2010

An opportunity has come to me recently through my good friend Nicola to participate in a craft show on June 12th. Over the next few weeks, I will be making as many handmade cards, notebooks and calendars as I can --- with the help of my WONDERFUL children!!

I’ve put together another blog to showcase what I’m making and will be selling at the sale. Feel free to contact me directly if you want more information about the show or the items I’m selling. You can link to that blog here or through the (rather large) icon at the right of the screen.

I hope you can make it. In addition to myself with my cards and other paper products, Nicola and her ‘too cool’ vinyl decals and my friend Anne who has made many wonderful bags and aprons for me, there will be candles, pottery, jewelry, apparel, cupcakes, button bouquets, artwork, hats, blankets, photography, custom invitations, pet apparel, stained glass and hot & cold stone therapy. And of course, Nicola’s cute children will be selling food and refreshments. Whatever you’re into, you’re sure to find it there.

See you there!!!

What next?

I’ve had a little bit of pressure to post, so here it goes.

Last week, I dislocated my right index finger.

Now that the eye issued is almost resolved I found I wasn’t getting enough attention so I figured I needed to do something drastic.

After I mowed the lawn last Tuesday (for the first time in years!), I was hanging the lawn mower back up on the wall of the shed and my finger popped out of the joint. It wouldn't straighten and was pointing towards my pinkie finger. Nasty. It doesn't really look that bad here, but trust me, it was not nice.

I’ve done it before, so I knew exactly what happened and I knew what needed to be done to set it right, but Meredith had to be at her musical theatre that night with full make-up and hair. She did most of the make-up herself --- quite nicely actually --- and Dave helped with the hair. From the front, she looked great and they were doing photos so I figured it was okay.

I went to the walk in clinic and the doctor there sent me to the hospital. I needed x-rays and a little freezing and

the joint was back in place.

It was splinted for just over a week and while it’s still bruised and a little tender, I’ve got full use of my hand again.

I wonder what’s next???
