Project Life | Weeks 32, 33 & 34

I’ve been working hard on my PL 2013 pages. It is driving me crazy that I’m not up to date. Nothing is getting done around here until these pages are done.

I managed to get a page done on the weekend then another couple early in the week. I’ve actually almost up to date but I’m not going to post them all at once. There will be more coming!!

Project Life | Weeks 29, 30 & 31

I’m plugging away and getting these pages done a week at a time. I got one week done over the course of a few days and today I managed to get 2 weeks completed! 

 

It’s much easier when you’re not trying to capture everything from a holiday.

Project Life

I am really struggling with my Project Life album right now. We are just finishing up Week 36 of 2013 and I just completed Week 24. I'm 12 weeks behind. That's 24 pages that need to get done.

I'm not really sure what to do from here. I have managed to keep notes and even put photos into weekly folders so they're all ready to go but it takes so long to get these pages done once they start to pile up. ~sigh~ Scrapbooking is started to feel like a chore and that's not what I want!!

I don't like the idea of quitting in the middle of the year. I thought about changing the design so that the pages are even simpler than they already are and making the pages identical - square photos and a strip of journaling - nothing fancy. But again, I don't know if the OCD in me is able to change up the album mid year.

However, I'm sure I'll figure it out. Here are the pages for week 24.

Project Life Pages

Here are weeks 22 and 23 to share. I'm still enjoying doing these digitally. I'm still enjoying all the great photography apps on my iPhone. And I'm definitely enjoying mixing things up a bit with some different supplies.

On week 22 I used the Becky Higgins Project Life supplies but on week 23 I used the Brushed Petals Kit by Katie Pertiet. This kit is one of my favourites and I use it all the time!!

PROJECT LIFE PAGES

Up until this point I’ve been using the official Project Life papers by Becky Higgins - specifically the Turquoise Edition. I really like it. I like the papers, I like the colours and I like how it all coordinates. However, I’m getting bored. I’m not good at doing the same thing over and over. I don’t like to eat the same meal 2 days in a row. I don’t like to watch movies over and over. And now I’m learning I don’t like to use the same scrapbook papers over and over again either. BUT. (There’s always a BUT isn’t there?) I do like things to be consistent. I don’t like change and I do like things to match. A couple of weeks ago I changed from the Becky Higgins templates to the Cathy Zielske templates. I’m not sure if you realize how difficult that was for me. I’m sure most of you didn’t even notice a difference!! This week, I’m mixing it up even more. I’m not going to use the Project Life kit anymore. I’m going use whatever I feel like using on that particular day ~GASP~. Did I really say that? Uh oh. Please don’t judge me for not matching anymore. I’m okay with it. Really. I am.

On my Week 20 page, I used the Springtime Kit by Echo Park and created the collage on the left page with the Moldiva app on my iPhone. I used the Camera+ app to create the effects on the photo flower on the right page. I am loving the various photography apps out there. In addition to those two I also have PicTapGo, PicLab and iSplash in addition to Instagram which came with the phone. Halftone is a lot of fun too. It turns a photo into a comic!!

What do you think? Is mixing it up a good thing? Or am I going to regret it at the end of the year?

Project Life Weeks 18 & 19

I've fallen a little behind but I always seem to catch up! I really think the key to this for me is simplicity, so I apologize if the pages seem the same from one week to the next, but that's what they need to be to get done!!
